As the 2025 SMX World Championship Series is about to get underway, NBC and Peacock will present a one-hour SMX World Championship preview special this weekend on Sunday, Dec. 29, at 5 p.m. ET. Featuring defending Supercross and SMX World Champion Jett Lawrence, two-time defending SMX 250 Class World Champion Haiden Deegan, 2024 SMX runner-up Hunter Lawrence, two-time Supercross Champions Eli Tomac and Cooper Webb, 2024 Pro Motocross Champion Chase Sexton, the world’s most famous dirt bike racing cowboy Aaron Plessinger, plus international superstars Ken Roczen and Jorge Prado.
Voiced by the NBC commentary team, the SMX World Championship preview special features an in-studio roundtable hosted by Jason Weigandt, while Ricky Carmichael, James Stewart, Adam Cianciarulo, and Jason Thomas go onsite to athlete homes and private training facilities to give viewers an authentic glimpse into their 2025 season preparations.
Internationally, the SMX World Championship preview special will air via the SuperMotocross Video Pass at the same time as the domestic airing on Sunday, Dec. 29 at 5 p.m. ET and is available in every country outside of the United States at supermotocross.tv.
NBC Sports’ 2025 SMX World Championship season opener begins with the SMX Insider Pre-race Show live from Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif. on Saturday, Jan. 11, at 7:30 p.m. ET on Peacock, followed by racing on the USA Network and Peacock at 8 p.m. ET. An encore presentation will air the following day on Sunday, Jan. 12, on NBC at 2 p.m. ET.
