Defending SMX World Champion Jett Lawrence took to social media on Monday night to provide an injury update following his incident during the third 450 Main at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ, on Saturday.
On the opening lap, Lawrence was seen putting his foot down on the ground exiting the first corner at a bad angle. He rode off the track and was out of the race. On Monday, Lawrence confirmed that he had suffered a torn ACL and a partial tear to his meniscus.
He will undergo surgery on Tuesday and hopes for a return for the Pro Motocross season. If everything goes well, he would still be eligible for the SMX Playoffs and Final.
